Non-Compliance Inspection Report

During 2016 MPMC experienced exceedances of Total Suspended Solids and Copper at HAD03, the effluent discharge location after the water treatment plant.

The Ministry of Environment did complete a number of inspections, post non-compliance.

The actions required by the inspection are:

- Continue to source water directly from Springer Pit to the extent practicable.

- Reduce the overall volume of water being stored on site.

- Complete review of treatment potential from Springer Pit.

- Complete bench-scale testing for water treatment plant optimization for Total Cooper removal and implement optimization if feasible.
