CCQL 7 Campaign Day 3: RESEARCH

Many of you may not know but the University of Northern British Columbia’s Quesnel River Research Centre has been monitoring our special lake for many years. Scientists have visited from all over the world to research the unique seiching (wind and water movement) patterns of Quesnel Lake.

QRRC has shared a picture of their research team setting up to sample the lake bottom, tailings deposit and assessing the spill impacts. Their continued research has provided information on the long-term changes to Quesnel Lake after the 2014 mine disaster. CCQL thanks all members of QRRC for their continued support.
